Sergio Foresti is an Italian baritone with a special love for music of the 18th and 19th century. Born in Modena, he graduated in piano and operatic singing at the Conservatory of Modena, and later also in vocal chamber music at the Conservatory of Florence. He currently lives in Berlin.
He has always performed in the various styles and style periods. In the past, this included renaissance madrigals and some medieval music. Mostly he has performed in opera, oratorio, other religious music, and chamber music. Sergio is well known for his ability to handle virtuose coloratura. On stage he loves to portray dramatic and heroic characters, and he has a knack for comical opera.
At the moment, Sergio prepares several new solo programs for concerts and cds.
